Pinterest & Christmas planning.

18 Nov

One thing you should know about me is that I’m a Pinterest addict. I spend way to much time finding and pinning beautiful things.

I am not sure what it is about Pinterest that attracts me so much although I do think it’s something to do with the opportunity to see so many beautiful things in once place. I use my Pinterest Boards as a never ending source on inspiration and also as a way to become more organised. Now they’ve added the secret boards I have been having a wonderful time planning Christmas presents for the family…this is a massive undertaking as there are so many of us. Usually every year I run an exercise book full of lists and calculations to make sure I’m not going over budget which in our house is usually fairly strict.

This year the kids (bar the 2 year old) are mostly to old for toys and games and I have been at a bit of a loss as to what to buy/make, until perusing Pinterest that is. There are all sorts of wonderful ideas for different types of gift baskets and other wonderful home made goodies that I have pinned…or course I’ll probably only have time to do less than half of what I’ve planned but it has given me a starting point for this year anyway.

There are wonderful blogs like this one which has some home made food ideas or Tip Junkies blog that has a plethora of different gift ideas. There are also a huge number of fantastic Christmas decoration ideas that I am going to use with the kids to keep them occupied during the Holidays. Every year I try and give the older/married children a Christmas decoration to add to their collection so I will be choosing from Pinterest this year when I decide which one to make.

Have a great weekend everyone. 🙂
